Where can I donate or receive clothing in Hanover?
The Red Cross is pleased to work in cooperation with the Hanover Council of Churches for donations and referrals of clothing. The Council of Churches is located at 136 Carlisle Street, (717) 633-6353. Please contact the Council of Churches to arrange for clothing drop off. We kindly ask that you do not drop clothing off at the Red Cross or when the Council of Churches' office is closed.
Where can I take a test to become a nursing assistant?
You can contact the American Red Cross at 1-800-795-2350 between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. They will help you obtain a handbook and an application, and also register for the exam.
How can I volunteer?
Volunteers are the heart and sole of the American Red Cross. The Greater Hanover Chapter is proud to have many opportunities for volunteers, including but not limited to disaster services, food pantry program, blood services, health and safety training and various office opportunities. - Can I donate blood if I'm sick or taking a prescription? For more information on specific medical questions, we encourage you to call the American Red Cross' blood services customer line, 1-800-272-2048 for these questions.
- How do I schedule an appointment to give my own blood for my own surgery? Call the Blood Autology Customer Service line at 1-800-452-5663.
