Disaster can strike quickly and without warning. It can force you to evacuate your neighborhood or confine you to your home. What would you do if basic services--water, gas, electricity or telephones--were cut off? Local officials and relief workers will be on the scene after a disaster, but they cannot reach everyone right away. Therefore, the best way to make your family and your home safer is to be prepared before disaster strikes.
Would you like to learn more about preparedness and how to avoid, cope with or respond to emergencies? Request a representative from the Greater Hanover Red Cross to speak with your organization, school, church, business, or club. We are proud of our service to the community and would be glad to present on a number of topics including disaster services, home or workplace planning and preparedness, and health and safety training tips. To learn more about arranging for a speaker, contact the Greater Hanover Red Cross at 717-637-3768.
