The Greater Hanover Chapter of the American Red Cross is a pacesetter in our community and a benchmark in non-profit administration. Our team of dedicated volunteers and staff  work every day to support the mission of the Red Cross and provide efficient and timely services.  We are honored to be recognized as a highly performing chapter by the American National Red Cross.

We are woven tightly into the fabric of our community.  Working around the clock, we are proud to be your American Red Cross in the greater Hanover area.  Through the generous support of our community, the United Way of York County, and a cadre of dedicated volunteers, we provide vital and life-sustaining programs and services that truly make a difference in the lives of our family, friends, and neighbors in need.

The Greater Hanover Red Cross is a not-for-profit humanitarian service organization that is not a government agency and relies on the generous donations of others.  Services to the community include emergency assistance to victims of disaster such as house and apartment fires, health and safety training (CPR, first aid, water safety), and building family self-sufficiency by providing financial assistance through our Emergency Family Assistance Fund.  The Hanover Red Cross also works to fight hunger by distributing food and personal care items at our community food pantry, saving lives by collecting blood for patients at area hospitals, and supporting members of our military, their families, and our veterans.
Proud to be serving our community as a High Performing Chapter
2008 "Hope for the Holidays" Program

Each year this community-supported program benefits area residents who are income eligible, experiencing serious health problems, or have fallen on hard times.  The "Hope For the Holidays" Program also benefits disabled veterans and seniors who are living alone with little or no family support.  We need your help to help brighten the holidays for a family in need.  Please consider adopting a family, hosting an Angel Tree at your place of business or conducting a food drive.   Please click here for more details.
